🎒 First Aid Kit
For walks on the valley's paths it is advisable to carry a basic first aid kit: plasters, antiseptic, painkillers, sunscreen and an emergency blanket. The most remote areas are 30-45 minutes from the nearest pharmacy.
🌿 Ticks and Insects
The castor bean tick (Ixodes ricinus) is present in the woods of the Mugello Apennines. Wear long clothing while walking and check your skin on returning. If bitten, see a doctor. Repellents and proper removal tools are available at the pharmacy.
